Prawns Pickle



Ingredients:

1 cup Prawn (shelled)
2-3 tbsp Chilly Powder
2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
½ tsp Fenugreek
15-20 flakes Garlic crushed
1 lime size ball of Tamarind
¼ tsp Asafoetida
1tsp Sugar (optional)
½ tsp Corn flour (optional)
4 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste

Method:

Apply salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder, to the cleaned shelled prawn. Heat oil in a pan and stir fry fenugreek, asafoetida and mustard seeds and wait till they splutters. To this add crushed garlic, and continue to stir fry till light brown. Soak tamarind for 15-20 minutes in one cup of water. Take tamarind pulp. Add this to above mixture. Stir over a low heat  for about 10-15 minutes. If the above gravy becomes too thin than add little cornflour. Leave to cool.

Ready to eat Prawns Pickle…!
